Night of Thrills Returns on Saturday
One of the fan favorite events will return to Anderson Speedway on Saturday,
September 5th when the Night of Thrills will be featured on the world’s fastest
quarter-mile oval. Featured events include the IOFS Outlaw Figure 8’s, inaugural
event of the IOFS Outlaw Front Wheel Drive Figure 8’s, School Bus Figure 8’s,
Culver’s Trailer Race, Cork Screw Race along with Spectator Races.
Heading into this weekend, Doug Greig sits atop the IOFS Outlaw Figure 8 point
standings. Jeff Shackleford ranks second, 127 markers behind the first position.
The remainder of the top five includes Chris Green, Johny Hargraves and Charlie
Hargraves. In the most recent IOFS Outlaw Figure 8 event at Anderson Speedway,
Eddie Van Meter earned the victory over Shackleford and Casey White.
The School Bus Figure 8’s make their third appearance of the season with B.J.
Perry earning the April victory and Basil Stanley taking top honors during
Figure 8 Madness on July 4th.
Other exciting events that will be showcased on the Night of Thrills include the
IOFS Outlaw Front Wheel Drive Figure 8’s that will feature some of the
competitors from the Front Wheel Drive Figure 8 division. The Culver’s Trailer
Race also provides a lot of intense action and other thrilling events include
Cork Screw Race and Spectator Races.
On Saturday Night, spectator gates open at 5 p.m. with the racing beginning at
8. Admission is $10 for adults and $4 for kids ages 6-12. Children five and
under get in free.
