USAC National Midgets Return on Saturday Night
The air will be filled with the sound of midget racing engines this Saturday
evening at Anderson Speedway. The USAC Mopar National Midget Series will be in
town for a 200-lap feature with some of the biggest names in open wheel racing
converging on the quarter mile high banked asphalt oval.
Heading into the Thursday night’s event at O’Reilly Raceway Park, Brad Kuhn
leads the USAC Mopar National Midget Series with a 34 point margin over Jerry
Coons Jr. Third in the standings is California racer Brad Sweet, who drives for
Kasey Kahne Racing. Two-time feature winner Darren Hagen is listed in fourth
with Tracy Hines completing the top five.
The most recent winner in the USAC Mopar National Midget Series is Bobby East,
who collected the victory at Twin Cities Raceway Park on Tuesday, July 14. East
is also the last driver to win a USAC National event at Anderson Speedway when
he earned the USAC Sprint Car win last May.
