Figure 8's, Street Stocks, ThunderCars and Front Wheel Drives on Saturday

Anderson Speedway returns to racing action on Saturday, June 6 with Street Stocks, ImmediaDent Figure 8’s, ThunderCars and Front Wheel Drives Oval in action on the world’s fastest quarter-mile oval.

Two early season victories have propelled Muncie’s Bret Miles to first position in the Street Stock point standings. Rob Allman ranks second with Ronnie Rose listed in the third spot. Recent feature winner Randy Hoppes is fourth in the points rundown with three time division champion Rich Boyer listed in fifth position.

In the ImmediaDent Figure 8’s, former division champion Mike Riddle Jr. continues to lead the point standings. Second in the standings is Ricky Tharp, 70 points behind Riddle. Spring Championship winner Jeff Swinford is third with Johnny Magee and Josh Tharp filling out the top five.

Anderson drivers Rod Phipps and Rob Allman continue to battle for the ThunderCar points lead. Both title contenders have visited the winner’s circle on multiple occasions. Drivers that are looking to continue to move up in the point standings include Shane Cullen, Nick Warner and Terry Malone Jr.

In the Front Wheel Drives Oval division, Jeff Saxon paces the division in the early stages with Andy Keller and Gary Bragg Jr. in third position. Fourth is defending division champion Kevin Harmon with Gary Bragg rounding out the top five.

On Saturday Night, spectator gates open at 5 p.m. with the first race taking the green flag at 8. Admission is $10 for adults and $4 for kids ages 6-12. Children five and under get in free.
