ThunderCar Enduro on Friday, Night of Thrills on Saturday
The
end of April will feature a big double header weekend at Anderson Speedway with
the rescheduled ThunderCar Enduro on Friday, April 24 and the Night of Thrills
set for Saturday, April 25.
The ThunderCar Enduro will feature some of the top drivers in the area battling
for 200 laps for a $3,000 first place prize. Last year, Ronnie Rose scored his
first ThunderCar Enduro victory after prevailing from an intense battle with
Johnny Magee. Rounding out the five were Rob Allman, Dustin Burge and Mike
Riddle Jr.
The Front Wheel Drive Figure 8 division will also be in action on Friday Night.
In the first event of the season last weekend, Donnie Ellis Jr. earned the
victory over Bill Leisure and three-time division champion Nick Warner.
On Friday Night, spectator gates open at 4 p.m. with the racing beginning at 7.
Admission is $10 for adults and $4 for kids ages 6-12. Children five and under
get in free.
On Saturday night, the always entertaining Night of Thrills will feature an
action packed lineup headlined by the School Bus Figure 8’s. Other exciting
events include Roll-Over Contest, Culver’s Trailer Race, Cork Screw Race, Mini
Van Race and Front Wheel Drives Oval.
On Saturday Night, spectator gates open at 4 p.m. with the thrills beginning at
7. Admission is $10 for adults and $4 for kids ages 6-12. Children five and
under get in free.
