Releases Exciting 2008 Schedule

Action Entertainment has released the
tentative 2008 racing schedule for Anderson Speedway that celebrates the 61st
season at the World’s Fastest Quarter-Mile Oval. Returning divisions will be the
Ed Martin Auto Group Super Trucks, Street Stocks and ImmediaDent Figure 8’s on
Saturdays along with Newco Metals Legends, ThunderCars and Front Wheel Drives on
Friday Nights.
The 2008 schedule begins with the 10th Annual Bounce City New Year’s Day Bash on
Tuesday, January 1, featuring Street Stocks, ThunderCars, Figure 8’s, Mini Cups
and the Front Wheel Drives (Oval & Figure 8).
On March 29, the ThunderCar Enduro 200 will feature up to 55 cars in the
starting field. Special appearances from the Newco Metals Legends and Front
Wheel Drive Figure 8’s will also take place on opening night.
April 5 is the opening points night for the Ed Martin Auto Group SuperTrucks,
Street Stocks and ImmediaDent Figure 8’s. In addition, the newly formed Front
Wheel Drive Pro division will be showcased on opening night.
The WLBC/MAX Friday Night Summer Series kicks off on Friday, June 6 with Newco
Metals Legends, ThunderCars and Front Wheel Drives (Oval & Figure 8).
Some of the exciting special events planned for the 2008 racing season at
Anderson Speedway include two Nights of Thrills, Anderson 400 featuring CRA
Super Series Late Models and Street Stocks, three ThunderCar Enduros, the
prestigious National Crown and the 11th Annual Stock Car Festival.
Several touring series will make visits to Anderson Speedway including USAC
National Sprint Cars & Midgets, CRA Super Series Late Models, H.O.S.S. Winged
Sprint Cars, Kenyon Midgets, Ford Focus Midgets, ARCA Lincoln Welders Trucks and
the USA Modified Tour.
The 60th Pay Less Little 500 will again be the premier event of the 2008 season,
taking place on Saturday, May 24, with the top asphalt Sprint Car racers in the
country. New to the schedule this year will be the Anderson 400 Midget Classic
that will take place on Saturday, July 26, bringing the nations top Midget
drivers to the World’s Fastest Quarter-Mile Oval.
The 2008 schedule will become official in the early part of January.
