Josh
Poore Plans Double Duty

For the first occasion in his young
racing career, 17-year-old Josh Poore will be competing full-time in two
divisions at Anderson Speedway during the 2007 season. The Anderson competitor
will continue to be a regular with the Ed Martin Auto Group SuperTrucks and will
also be a Rookie candidate in the Figure 8 division.
Poore began his driving career in the ThunderCar division, earring the 2004
driver championship. His season highlights included four feature victories, 15
fast times and 17 top-10 finishes.
The past two seasons, Poore has recorded two top-10 season finishes in the
SuperTruck division. He scored his first career checkered flag last year. In
2007, he has goals of capturing the division championship.
Anderson Speedway officials recently announced a change in the Figure 8 division. The
cars will qualify on the Oval, compete in an Oval Feature and conclude with a
Figure 8 feature. Regular ThunderCar drivers can compete in the Figure 8
division on Saturday Night without affecting their ThunderCar eligibility.
The Ed Martin Auto Group SuperTrucks and Figure 8’s make their season debut on
Saturday, April 7.
