Street Stocks, Vintage Modifieds Top Anderson Speedway Action

The second appearance of the Michigan based VROA Modifieds will be a highlight on the Anderson Speedway racing program on Saturday.
Tom Boorsma is undefeated in the VROA Modified action on the high banked quarter-mile oval and will be looking for his sixth consecutive feature win.
The last time the series visited Anderson Speedway Boorsma set a new track record during qualifying turning a lap at 13.914-seconds.
The Street Stock Division will return to action for the first time since the Norrick Petroleum 100 which was won b Elwood driver Jacob McElfresh. Anderson’s Josh Poore has recorded three feature wins in 2017.
Ron Phipps will be looking for a return to his winning ways in the Marcum Welding Front Wheel Division action after his feature win streak was halted at five when Nick Warner claimed the victory the last time the division was in action.
The Thunder Cars return to action where there have been four different winners in six events. Ronnie Rose has won the last two feature races to join Brad Cain as the only multi-time winner of the year.
Randy Hoppes has recorded one victory and Charlie Thomas won the 100-lap feature earlier this season.
Qualifying is set for 6:30 with racing at 8 p.m. Adult tickets are priced at $12 and $4 for children between the ages of five and 12.
