Racing Postponed This Weekend

Mother nature continues her variety of weather this week as rain and cold temperatures are forecasted for this Saturday. All weather sites are predicting rain for the entire day which has forced Anderson Speedway officials to postpone Saturday’s racing action. Optimism at the speedway abounds however, as temperatures are expected to climb to the 80’s next week.

“We were blessed with good weather last weekend and a huge car count. Fans were entertained with a night of great racing”, says Speedway President, Rick Dawson. “April can be a challenging month, weatherwise, and this year has been no exception. We have a great schedule ready for the balance of the season and are looking forward to getting back on the track next week.”

The ThunderCar 100, originally scheduled for this week will be added to next weeks program, May 1. The Marcum’s Welding Front Wheel Drives will be added to the July 3 program. The Legends and Thunder Roadsters will hopefully be rescheduled at a future date.

Racing returns to the Speedway next weekend, May 1, with a big five division night featuring the McGunegill Engine Performance Late Models, ThunderCar 100, Marcum’s Welding Front Wheel Drives, Thunder Roadsters and Hart’s Auto Center Ford Division. Racing will begin at 6:00pm.
