Jeff Marcum and Travis Burge kept their perfect seasons intact at Anderson Speedway Saturday in late model and street stock action.

Anderson Speedway returns to action this Saturday with a diverse racing program featuring a special 75-lap feature for the McGunegill Engine Performance Late Models.

Anderson Speedway officials have decided to go back to the original plan of not racing on June 2nd, but you can still support Anderson Speedway and catch some fun racing. A small group of residents has been working to bring the thrill of a soap box derby back to Anderson after a four-year hiatus. The Anderson Soap Box Derby is set for Saturday at the city’s Derby Downs at 2 N. Madison Avenue. Quintin Duncan of Muncie will be wheeling the Anderson Speedway entry.  Quintin is 13 and will be an eighth grader in the fall at Yorktown Middle School.  He is really looking forward to the race.  This will be his first time racing soap box, but he is not nervous and is looking forward to the experience.  Quintin enjoys playing soccer and video games.  His parents are Christopher and Summer Duncan of Muncie IN.   Please support Quintin and the other soap box derby participants this Saturday, June 2.
