The biggest event of the 2019 season for the McGunegill Engine Performance Late Model teams is set for this Saturday at Anderson Speedway. The fifth annual PGG Late Model Shootout will feature 100 laps of action and will serve as a prelude to the August CRA Late Model Sportsman 100 lap feature. The Late Models will be joined on the racing card by the second appearance of the Vintage Racing Organization of America Modifieds, the Hart’s Auto Figure-8 Division and Front Wheel Drive action in the crossover.

Veteran Aaron Pierce made a picture perfect crossover pass on lap 71 to take the lead from Justin Grant and score the victory. With a tightly bunched field track position was crucial on Sugar Fork Crossing night at Anderson Speedway.

Action Entertainment and Anderson Speedway plan to have a great evening of racing entertainment tonight with the Thursday Night Sprints presented by Sugar Fork Crossing. Pit Gates open at 3pm with Practice at 4pm and Racing at 7pm. Ryan Boorsma earned the family bragging rights by besting his father to win the VROA Modified feature at Anderson Speedway.

After taking a week off following the 71st running of the Pay Less Little 500 presented by UAW, Anderson Speedway kicks off an action packed month of June. There are four special events throughout the month featuring Pro Late Models, Street Stocks, sprint cars and the McGunegill Engine Performance Late Models. Action begins this Saturday during Military Appreciation Night sponsored by Double T Leather with the return of the Michigan based VROA Modifieds which is making their ninth visit to the lightning fast Anderson Speedway where the Boorsma family has been dominant.

The Staff of Anderson Speedway would like to congratulate the President of Action Entertainment, Rick Dawson and his wife Brenda on the birth of their first Grandchild. Calvin Dawson Cobb was born on Friday, May 17th at 11:46pm weighing in at 7lbs 9oz and 20.5 inches long. Proud parents, Lauren and Dan Cobb are home with their precious new addition and all are doing well!
